To Rosie in Trinidad ~ Preparations for Tamana Jungle in July

For those of you receiving this email and not sure what it is about, this July 13th-23rd, several of us from the US will be joining with team members from Trinidad to minister much as foreign missionaries to bring Jesus to the fatherless children in the Tamana jungle through child evangelism and personal ministry opportunities. We will attract thousands using movies about Jesus, toys, clothes, teaching, Baptism and Bibles.
Tamana jungle is a very remote part of Trinidad. It has a large concentration of fatherless children, not many adults, not many improved areas. The Lord led us there last time. Someday, this may be the future location of our first children’s home. Setting up for evangelism in undeveloped areas in a country where you do not live has its problems. If a place were already set up in Tamana, we would not be needed there in this way. This is the nature of our work. To bring Jesus to the fatherless. To go where the Lord sends us.

Hi Rosie,

I am also sending a copy of this letter to all those who want to know about Sanctuary For Children.

I pray for the Lord to make His plans known to us about the preparations He has made ahead of us for our work in July. The Lord will tell us what He has prepared and how to find it,  just as He told the Disciples about the donkey colt and the upper room.

(Mark 11:2)  And He said to them, Go into the village over across from you. And as soon as you have entered into it, you will find a colt tied, on which no one of men has ever sat. Untie it and bring it.

(Mark 14:15)  And he will show you a large upper room, furnished and prepared. Prepare there for us.

The Lord has given this much to me in prayer. As always, we never know exactly what it looks like the Lord provides it. Because Tamana is so remote,  we need one place in Tamana where we can sleep, show the movies at night and gather the crowds of children there. In the day we will travel from there in to the area for personal ministry to the same children. Our location will also be large enough for prayer for the whole team, sharing meals and continual fellowship. The prayer is the doing, then we go and see the results.
At this time, I know this much. We need the following. I have listed alternatives ways we can put these things in place. I have tried to list them in order of necessity.

Water. If we find a structure of any kind with water and electricity we can add the rest. I can’t see any use for place without water. I don’t know of any churches already in Tamana.
Electricity. If we can’t get electricity, we could use generators but that adds a lot of uncertainty, undependability and a lot of extra work with mechanical problems, fuel transport, etc. Adding to any small place already having electricity would be better than generators.
Sleeping place for team members
– If no structure exists, we could use tents with nets or trailers to have place to sleep. Or set up sleeping tents within the large meeting tent.
Toilets- We will almost certainly have to rent the plastic toilets to deal with 500-1000 each night. I expect attendance to increase each day as word gets out.
Covered place for rain – It is the rainy season. We have to have a large enough covered place for the equipment, the team and those helping. It is unlikely that we will find an already exisiting structure in Tamana for 1000 or more. But see what the Lord provides. Let the Holy Spirit guide you. 1 Cor 2:9-10
Rent trailers or tents

– Find out about companies that rent, transport and set up really big tents.

– The movie screen could be a hanging tent panel or the side of a building or trailer.

– Find if there are companies that will rent and set up trailers with showers and air conditioning for sleeping. Americans are not used to cold showers and equator heat, but we are not there on vacation. We will make do with what we have, but will function better with good rest.
If these emails are not something you do not want to receive, I understand. You can use this link now, or in any future emails, THANK YOU, BUT TOO MANY EMAILS. Your replies are encouraging. Your prayers make it happen.

Blessings, Lee
