If you are really interested in the preparations for July 2012

From Lee to Keith in response to your ideas below,

I will be home from church after 1 and nothing to do all day. One of our AC units is out but it is fine here for me and cooler than Trinidad will be. My wife is at her sisters house because it is not cool enough here for her. Bring your family if you want or it may be boring to them.

We are getting the fishing gear ready so our boat will be fully equipped and making sure the nets, the gear is all strong and working so they won’t burst from the harvest.

The Lord will attract them. It has happened before and I know what to expect. They will come so quickly and in such large numbers that we can only prepare before, not during. If the nets break or the gear fails, we may as well go home unless we have spare ones or the supplies to fix them.  But that large catch will be lost forever if there is no movie or sound.

Yes I need your help getting the gear together and Sunday is the last day time for 3 of us. I have time next week to do this by myself but that is not good. Rosie and Kelvin are getting their part done and will do the best they can to do more. I could use the spare suitcases now and Jonathan has more sound system stuff to try that may make it better for the children to hear Jesus. Only 3 open evenings left and later than tomorrow means no time to gather, buy parts, much less prepare for packing, weigh suitcases, test gear and on and on. I’ve been at it for weeks on a bad knee and it is slow work at best. Setting up a new sound system sometimes means hours and we have no time to order anything not included. The more of this I write, the more I realize the less I do by myself the better. It will take many of us to beg, borrow, buy and gather before I can even test, prepare, and pack in suitcases that fit size and weight.

Once we are actually using the gear in Trinidad, those who got it ready will be prepared to fish with it. Those not familiar will not be the disciples with their own hands pulling in the full nets they got ready with their own hands. I want to be Peter.

-Blessings, Lee
From Keith to Lee,
A few questions: What computer backup are you referring to, and what is the problem with it?

I’d like to come visit again and see the gear, go over it with you and learn the basic set up before we get there. Time is short, so I will make myself available to you with few limitations. Early mornings and late nights are fine with me as long as they don’t unnecessarily upset your family further. I can come anytime during the day as well, work is still slow, and this IS the work I’m to be focused on this week.

You mention protecting the cables. We should bring metal camping tent stakes – the ones with the hook top – and sink them in at interval to keep the cords from being tripped over.

I have a second video projector sitting in my house. It is not mine, but I will ask about borrowing it.

We’ll need extra gas and containers to transport it in. If at all possible, Kelvin should find a spare battery for us to carry as well. We do not want to be in the middle of Tamina and run out of gas and/or a dead battery.

Also, what safety issues need to be addressed with children walking back to their homes in the dark? Will we need to provide escorts for them? A thousand kids wandering in the dark may be problematic. Should we bring glowsticks for cheap, safe, entertaining lighting?

The Lords grace and peace on you all as He prepares us. Keith
